Embrace "Sitting The Month" Practice

This project aims to preserve the cultural practice of “sitting the month” by bridging the knowledge gap amongst the younger generations in Singapore (young teenagers to young adults, age 17-30) to encourage them to take on the practice.

Much like sex education in primary education to prepare young children for their teenage stage, it is important for students in higher educations to have certain preparation for their pregnancy stage later in life as it is a big part of future family planning.

The objective is to educate, to raise awareness, and in hope, to put the practice in a positive light. Encouraging them to embrace the practice and take it into consideration as one of the postpartum care options, while preserving the culture.
