The ‘Call It Home’ app is an interactive community platform that connects foreign students with people and cultures from their home countries as well as those from other nations to help them cope with homesickness. It fosters meaningful conversations between people who feel the same by engaging them in student-hosted cultural events. This allows them to connect and interact with fellow homesick students and maintain familiarity.  

The publication establishes the scenario by shedding light on the personal anecdotes provided by the homesick students themselves. It emphasizes a more intimate aspect of their experience of living alone and away from family, revealing people's lack of in-person interaction.
